In March 2008 students and teachers from St Edmund Campion Catholic Secondary School (Brampton, ON Canada) were treated to a stay with the Indigenous Council of Mozonte, a town located up on the northern border, only kilometers from Honduras.

The group contributed to the Council's local development plan through a donation that went to the construction of a centre for youth with disabilities. The building will be used as a meeting place and recreation centre by the local chapter of Los Pipitos, a Nicaraguan organization that provides support for young people with special needs and their families.
