- CANTERA is a well-known popular education organization working with local communities across the country to combat violence and create a just, equitable and sustainable society.
- Centro de Estudios Internacionales (CEI) was founded to promote peace & justice in Nicaragua. They publish and promote activities focusing principally on issues of economic justice.
- Central American Women's Fund is a source of funding for women's rights work in Central America. Check it out!
- CIPRES is an agricultural extension organization with a neat urban demonstration farm (right in Managua!) focusing on production issues for small landowners.
- CODENI is the Federation of Organizations that Work with Children and Youth in Nicaragua.
- COMUMNAVI is Nicaragua's famous fair trade, worker owned "sweatshop" - yes, it can be done!
- Dos Generaciones works on Managua's west side in the with the children, families and communities that earn their living on or near the municipal garbage dump.
- FUNARTE are our great mural-painting friends in Esteli. Many student groups from Canada have stayed, learned and worked with them. Responsible for Esteli now being called "The City of Murals", FUNARTE has an almost 20-year history of education the community on children's rights and working with children in youth to improve their quality of life. More recently FUNARTE has begun to work with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education to improve the quality of public education in Nicaragua.
- INPRHU - Programa de Promocion de la Familia y la Comunidad works with children in all of Managua's major markets.
- Puntos de Encuentro is a feminist media organization that works with and for youth. They have produced a well known tv series called "Sexto Sentido" (very similar to Degrassi).
