Through the Casa Project Fund, two preschools in Managua benefitted from funds destined for repairs and general infrastructure improvements.

The Hormiguitas Conquistadoras preschool and the Las Palmitas preschool, both located in an area of Managua known as Reparto Schick were able to repair and paint chairs and tables and install new shelves and white boards.

One of the successes of the projects was that parents were instrumental providing volunteer labour for many tasks. As the directors told us, it is often very difficult to get parents involved in the preschool.
